Star Trek: Starbase 777
Food Festival / entrance
Avatar
Narrator BOT 17-Jan-25 04:10 PM
At the entrance, signs were posted everywhere, reminding guests to eat only in the designated areas of the private eating hall. A small map was available to help everyone navigate, and a welcoming banner greeted all who entered.

Seiyya walked into the food festival, looking around at all the people. She was just dressed in her Starfleet uniform, unsure of what exactly to wear. She did still look nice, though, she had even trimmed her hair a little so it didn’t look as awful. All in all, she looked rather put-together, though still a little imposing as a 6’6 Romulan who spent her free time working out and practicing martial arts. But honestly, she was just here to try the food and chat a little. She was used to things like this- cultural exchange was part of life onboard a Starbase as diverse as this one- very little could weird her out these days. She had done all her culture shock back in the Academy, thank you very much.

Sogla' Bannosta, House Irtus, entered the festival, wearing her AFS uniform and baldric. She stepped slightly to the side so as to not block the entry, and scanned the room. She noted the people, the foods, the atmosphere and energy, and more. The massive klingon woman had a blank face for a Klingon, though many may read it as RBF. She greeted a few familiar faces as she entered and made her way into the festival proper. She was work, gathering information and here to represent the AFS and her people as well. This was her calling and her duty.

Jayrehi waltzed in happily humming to herself. Unsure what exactly the dresscode was, or if there even was one, so she simply came in her trusty uniform. The rather short Trill walked up to the map, standing as she took it in. Oh dear, which way should she go? She would ponder for a moment or two, quiet muttering coming under her breath. Maybe she just needed more time to think.

Lt. Zhi'rev tr'Lareth | CMD BOT 17-Jan-25 04:37 PM
Zhi'rev was also wearing his Starfleet Uniform, feeling that a diplomatic event such as this would warrant such a thing. He entered from the entrance, as he was directed, and looked around at all the banners and signs -- making note that if he wished to eat that he should do it in the private eating hall. But, he had no food yet, so it shouldn't bother him. Instead he also made sure not to block the entrance, as that would be rather rude of him to do.

Entering the festival with a big grin on her face, Elwyn looked around and quickly noted the signs and map. Memorising the latter, wearing a pristine Starfleet uniform and her hair tied up and braided at the back similar to at the winter ball rather than her usual style, albeit with the front styled about the same as usual, the android headed further into the halls.

Lured by the promise of exotic food, Maran'agar had decided to simply come and... well, see. He glanced at the map and slipped into the festival amongst the crowd.

Such an event would no doubt require some sort of security on behalf of Starfleet, though Maxson hoped he wouldn’t be needed at all. The funny thing about being a security officer is that often, you hope you never have to do your job. Regardless, the Assistant Chief made his way inside. The first mission of the year…here goes. Walking into the entrance area, Nikiyta was dressed in his uniform -- the Starfleet one, but with a little Andorian Imperial Guard comm badge, a little touch to show he was affiliated with another faction. Nikiyta was naturally pretty tall, towering over a lot of his colleagues. He walked slowly, not entirely sure what to expect and also afraid he'd do something dumb. Thankfully nothing he could have done could have been dumber than--

Into the diplomatic event, Riov Rai tr'Torre'vnau was dressed in his Republic dress uniform, miniskirt version because some of his colleagues mentioned he should show some skin more. He walked confidently towards the map to see where to go from the entrance area.

Lt. Zaru Teno | SCI BOT 17-Jan-25 05:03 PM
Teno had been anticipating this event since he'd heard about it. Food festivals were so exciting and fun and he loved getting to try new dishes. Especially ones that hadn't been replicated. Wearing his Sciences Blue uniform, his earring, and his characteristic grin, Teno walked into the entrance of the Food Festival and began to look around.

She had just come back from a long and very arduous diplomatic mission with three admirals and she was so tired but she entered the event and she looks around as she retied her hair into a somewhat messy braid.

He arrived fashionably punctual. He wouldn't miss an event with this much food! Standard uniform, but with his nice jade earrings and a fishtail braid in his hair. No need to slay today. Well, not as much.

Lt. JG. Mudion Korex | ENG BOT 17-Jan-25 08:07 PM
Mudd arrived in time, wow, he was dressed in his standard uniform and this time it was spotless. No charcoal stains, torn pant legs nothing, just a pristine uniform. He was rather looking forward to this event especially after he heard there was food involved, he was always eager to try new foods, and of course meet new people. And for some reason he out of the blue decided to go to the north vendor hall.

Lt. JG. Saren tr'Lareth | SCI BOT 17-Jan-25 08:09 PM
Here arrived one of the three heads of the Science division, dressed in the standard uniform and ready to explore the food festival! His interest was settled somewhere between cultural and biological, with all the no doubt curious ingredients these people could use for their cuisine. Noticing a rather sizeable crowd by the Kreetassan delegation, he decided to pop by the Sheliak Corporation first.

K’tehka | CIV BOT 17-Jan-25 08:20 PM
Well, it had been some time since K’tehka had gone to a fancy event. He’d opted to stay in for the winter ball, having caught some respiratory illness. It was certainly not his favorite experience, but that was alright. He was all better now and excited to try some new foods. He loved food. In his retirement he’d become somewhat of a foodie, as many spacetube bloggers were called. Some young cousin or other had shown him videos like that a long time ago. Regardless, the man was here. 6’2” and very bulky, dressed in his traditional Klingon furs and boots. His heavy footsteps could be heard as he entered, though he did not remain at the entrance very long, opting instead to beeline for some food in the #north-vendor-hall .

Lt. Cdr. Rakim | CMD BOT 17-Jan-25 09:31 PM
This event certainly looked like quite something, Rakim observed as he arrived a slight bit of time after some of the others had arrived. He'd elected to turn up in a pristine Starfleet command uniform as seemed appropriate to the situation with his hair concealed by a simple black fabric wrap lined with a stripe of command red. A choice that conformed with the dress code * *Coming to a stop once he arrived at the entrance, Rakim entered the event. Where first? He plumped upon the south vendor hall as his choice, after a moment passed so, to the #south-vendor-hall he headed!

Saeihr had decided that she ought to engage in the ongoings on the station, besides she found large crowds comforting, it made her feel as though she could vanish in between the other people and the conversations around her drowned out her thoughts. Like many of the others she too was wearing her uniform. On occasion she was still hit by a sense of disbelief that she had actually managed to graduate from the academy more than halve a year ago. Weaving her way between people she made her way to the map, while looking at it she could not help but muse that this festival seemed to fit 777's purpose as a meeting point of different people rather well. After some consideration, she made her way to the #north-vendor-hall to inspect the food options.

Lt. JG. Carissa Sykes | INT BOT 18-Jan-25 06:03 PM
While most of the time Sykes wasn’t out and about doing her job, spending most of her days at a console, she needed to stretch her legs sometimes, as enrapturing as code could be. Besides, an event like this certainly piqued her interest…call her a little skeptical, or pessimistic, but such an anniversary felt a little…powder keg-y. Whatever. If nothing else, she can at least go grab some food and drink, mix and mingle, all that jazz. Clad in her uniform, though with her standard-issue jacket overtop it, the Intel agent made her way inside and beelined for the #south-vendor-hall

Lt. JG. Emta Hanneth | SEC BOT 18-Jan-25 08:58 PM
Hanneth entered the hall in his uniform as well, trailing a bit behind most. He noted the halls and rules required. Then almost immediately heard a scream. He sighed and made his way toward the scream, just in case something had occurred that required security. Hopefully it wasn't anything like that.

Lt. JG. D'Nuhir Valdran | SCI BOT 18-Jan-25 09:24 PM
D’Nuhir Valdran stepped into the grand entrance hall, his polished boots quietly making a sound against the smooth floor. The room was alive with chatter and the clinking of glasses, a far cry from the quiet solace of his usual workspace. Dressed neatly in his standard uniform, his posture was impeccable, but a slight stiffness portrayed his discomfort. He hesitated for a fraction of a second before advancing making his way into the North hall

Lt. Cdr. Twelve of Twenty | MED BOT 18-Jan-25 10:31 PM
*Twelve of Twenty arrived at the end-point of her most recent shift in the sickbay. Having already imbibed the required amount of fluid, Twelve had plumped upon the event listed 'The Concord' food event, as a perfect place to acquire food sustenance and to expand her knowledge of social protocols and procedures. So well, here she had arrived. A moment spent as she entered the entrance way as she looked over a PADD with Event information on before she elected to depart in the direction of the #north-vendor-hall *

Lt. Ato Th'zhaloth | MED BOT 18-Jan-25 11:27 PM
Ato had been on his first duty shift since arriving on Starbase 777 and had been piddling about in the MED Bay. To this point, there hadn't been much chaos or reason for him to be working beyond helping with minor cuts and bruises. And then the COMMS call came through. With the MED bay being so far away, he had been sent through the Medical Transporter to the entrance of the events hall. As soon as he materialized he checked his surroundings, making sure to avoid any mobs, made sure his med kit was accessible and secure, and dashed his very long legs as fast as they could go to the #south-vendor-hall immediately and swiftly.
